Year 6 have been learning about WW1 and to really see what WW1 trenches looked like, they visited Hawthorn Trenches at Elham.  There, both British and German trench systems have been re-created, complete with dug-outs and no-man's land areas, which the children were able to explore.  They were even able to dress up to complete the experience!
