Term 4
Wildwood Trip
On Wednesday, Courtesy class became immersed in all things animal related at Wildwood! The weather was perfect so we set off exploring the animals. We saw a range of animals including bison, deer, foxes, wolves, owls and bears. We were all open-minded Octopus because we all climbed over the bear bridge which was quite high! After lunch, we became scientists because we explored a range of different animal bones in our skeleton workshop. We learnt what an exoskeleton and an endoskeleton were. We were all Responsible Raccoons and learnt lots about different animals!
World Book Day
Courtesy class have enjoyed celebrating world book day! The sun was shining which was a perfect opportunity for us to show off and dance with our costumes on the playground.
Back in the classroom, we showed our costumes to the rest of the class. We then had some time to create an animation on 2Animate based on our world book day characters!
Chocolate Making
Year 3 have been catapulted into the magical world of Willy Wonka.
As part of our DT learning, Courtesy class evaluated different dried fruits to use in their very own chocolate bar creation.
They thought about texture, flavour and appearance as they delved into the world of confectionery and chocolate!
Each unique chocolate bar has been created by each individual child, their taste bids have been on an amazing journey of discovery. Adding items such as: apricots, sultanas, banana chips to dark, milk and white chocolate.
