Moving on to Secondary School
We like to support our families as they consider possible options for their child's Secondary School education, having seen each child mature and make progress during their time at Priory Fields. Staff regularly discuss academic progress with parents, so they are well-informed and able to make considered decisions about approaches and systems that might be well-suited to their child. During the latter part of Year 5, teaching staff will discuss possibilities with parents, as requested, including consideration for Kent Test and Grammar School entry. Support for each child and family continues into Year 6, when Kent Test and Secondary School applications are made and processed.
Pupils at Priory Fields move on to a variety of Secondary Schools, including Grammar Schools, Church Schools, Academies and Community Schools. Often, significant factors influencing parents' applications include sibling links, distance from home and the continuity in values and ethos.
