Numbers Day

Endeavour class had a fabulous time, dressing up as rockstars on ‘Number Day’. We doubled our place in the league of schools on TT Rockstars and enjoyed solving number puzzles, as well as completing the ‘Escape Room’ style challenge called ‘Lost in the Forest’.

We enjoyed seeing how Maths and Art are interlinked, especially when looking at the use of shapes in art. After studying ‘Concentric Circles’ by Kandinsky and ‘Castles and Sun’ by Paul Klee, we had great fun creating our own works of art. I hope that the children can spot their work on our webpage.

Learning Landing

Endeavour had a wonderful learning landing, exploring Maya culture. We talked about fair trade, providing the modern Maya with a fair price for their Cacao bean, which we use to make chocolate. We tasted a variety of fair-trade chocolate, including white, milk and dark chocolate, rating them on their taste. We also made clay chocolate pots, using skills of rolling, cutting and joining techniques.
